Day 3 Linden

You wake up on a fur rug covered by a blanket next to a fireplace with your head on a pillow. A skeleton has been tending the fire through the night. It grins at you, it would seem.

It rises, makes a formal bow with a sweep of it's arm, cocks it's head a moment...and nods.

It pulls a rope, and ..
A lovely looking well preserved dwarf zombie in a wedding dress, the bottom a bit darkened from trailing over the floors pushes in a cart with various foods and a mug on it's surface.
"Break fast is served." She enuciates and a grin on her face.

"Hello, gosh, thank you. Say, do you know [dwarf paladin guy]?"

She responds.
"You are welcome." She pauses.
"Heard of him."

"Different clan."
"Enjoy break fast." She smiles and shuffles out.

The skeleton shrugs as if to say, ["dwarves what can you do?"] He grins.

A nice assortment of food is available for breakfast with milk.

Linden smiles and agrees and digs into the food, undoubtedly secreting buns and cheese and whatnot in his pockets for later too. Then he re-arranges his pouches.

A knock at your door, about the Priests height.

"Come in," Linden says, rather idly.

The priest opens the door and looks inside, seeing you eating, calmly being attended by a skeleton.
"Linden...we are going to head back, I suppose you wish to stay here, learn magick and what have you?"

"Hmm...I don't mean to disuade you, I'm glad for you to return with us...at the same time, Lord Darktwister probably doesn't just hand out invitations to be his apprentice like candy...the path to study magick...or many things really, requires dedication and willpower...deciding and sticking to something, even when it's hard."

"Having said that, perhaps you need be ready for studying first as well."

The paladin enters and whispers in yer ear.
"The darklord don't have much a choice, as much power he has, he's stuck in this realm, forever..unable to cross the borders."

"Funny that," Linden replies, "we Kender generally find a way into and out of anyplace."

"Yes, perhaps because his own intelligence and decisions led him to be trapped here, why he grows bored and does his experiments."
"Perhaps it would be wiser to persue another vocation..I could see you as a bard actually."
"You seem to be able to tell stories...are you musically inclined in any way?"

"Hmm...how is your singing?"

"I enjoy singing, sure, and I know a lot of songs." Linden sings a highly inappropriate song about a young elf maiden from Lunt.

His face reddens.
"Yes...well..erm. .it seems you might fit in, in many taverns with such...um..yes..well, I suppose you should let Lord Darktwister know we are leaving then.."

"Hey, I know anyone about a dwarf from Ruckit, listen, listen ..." he starts singing that one too.

He listens to the bawdy songs...
"Well, it certainly seems you are good at memorizing things after all.."
He claps politely.
The Paladin eyes you, then gives a grin and a laugh.
"Reminds me of the old days.."

Once Linden sees that the dwarf's stoic demeanour has been pierced, he happily launches into another bawdy dwarf song he must have picked up somewhere, having a very good time.

He guffaws with laughter!
"Aye lad, me thinks ye found yer callin, ...the restless nature of a bard, traveling the land, picking up stories, songs and information, I think it'd suit ye just fine. That feller you showed up wit, back at the temple, his wife ws a bard befer, maybe she'd teach ya a ting or two."

"Well, it certainly might suit better than Paladin or wizard." The cleric says with a smile.
